Fulton Books author, Shannon Anderson, a single mom of two, has completed her most recent book “A Collection of Poetry about Life”: a touching compendium of poems that describe life from a personal perspective. The author recounted the years where she faced setbacks and failures, the times when she had no choice but to move forward with the pain, and the way she found healing in letting God handle her life.

Anderson shares, “My book is a collection of poetry about life that is very personal to me. It touches on some of the most devastating times in my life when I had so many disappointments and setbacks in just trying to survive in this world. It talks about relationships and some life topics that affected me in my fifty years of living. I put so much of my frustrations on paper because I really didn’t have anyone to talk to or who understood me. So I began to write poetry about everything I had been going through. When I gave my life back over to God, I saw that he gave me a gift of poetry, and that is when my healing process began through my writing. I always wanted to encourage other people to put their trust in God and never give up. No matter how many curveballs life throws my way, I remember my aunt always telling me weeping may endure for a night but joy cometh in the morning. So many nights I just prayed to God to be able to make it to the morning. So my pain will ease up. This is my testimony, and I am a survivor. My hope is that anyone who reads my book believes anything is possible and that they can achieve anything they put their mind to it and never let anyone control your mind or destroy your spirit.”

Published by Fulton Books, Shannon Anderson’s testimony is the voice of a survivor who is able to stand tall and believe in herself that she can do it; that no matter what heavy burdens fall upon her, her mind and spirit are both strong enough to withstand the weight.

With this book, one will find hope and encouragement to persevere through the hardships.
