Recent release “The Fine Year” from Covenant Books author P.B. Child is a tale of hope in which the author recalls his trip around the country following the footsteps of fellow bird watchers and the spirit of his deceased parents.

P.B. Child, a birding aficionado who traveled the U.S. extensively throughout his life has completed his new book, “The Fine Year”: an uplifting tale of overcoming loss.

The author shares, “This is the story of a sixty-year-old man who travels the country seeing and listing bird species, what is known in the birding world as a Big Year. Leaning heavily on his family for emotional support, he deals with the loss of his parents and the retirement from his career by fulfilling one of his lifetime goals. Throughout the year, he visits the locations other birders have made famous in birding circles and finds many birds and other creatures which refill his reservoir of happiness that had been depleted over recent years. He also recounts some of the adventures from his past as the spirit of his parents guides his way. What he finds is far more than birds.”

Published by Covenant Books of Murrells Inlet, South Carolina, P.B. Child’s new book follows his own personal journey of navigating his way to reaching his dreams in the spiritual presence of those he loves.

Readers can purchase “The Fine Year” at bookstores everywhere, or online at the Apple iTunes Store, Amazon or Barnes & Noble.
